This is the sixth book in Janet Evanovich's Full series.

Book Description
Mercury's in retrograde, and folks in Beaumont, South Carolina, are dealing with gossip, scandal, misunderstandings, and more secrets than ever. Local pediatrician Maggie Farnsworth has even bigger worries. Her wild-girl past has caught up with her in the form of her ex-boyfriend, a jailbird who just flew the coop—and is bent on tracking down Maggie and her daughter. Fortunately, FBI agent Zack Madden is on hand for protection. Unfortunately, his presence is turning up the heat on an attraction Maggie simply has no time for... or does she? But Maggie and Zack aren't the only ones getting busy: Fleas, the hound dog, is up to his old tricks—this time with Butterbean, a very alluring... goat? Jamie Swift and millionaire Max Holt have babies on the brain. And resident psychic-slash-astrologer Destiny is fighting a crush of her own. Since the town's ice cream parlor is a magnet for gossip, no one can keep a secret and the sticky situations are getting even stickier....

It's the wildest time yet in the town we love to write about, with the characters we can't get enough of. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a FULL SCOOP of fun, adventure, and romance.

This was an enjoyable read. Most of the characters from previous Full books are still here, but this one focuses on Maggie, the town's doctor (pediatrician mostly). Carl Lee Stanton, an old boyfriend of Maggie's, has escaped prison and is headed to Beaumont, SC. And an unwelcome visit to Maggie and her daughter Mel is first on his list! Fortunately, a sexy FBI agent has been sent to protect them...

I can't say I like this series as much as the Stephanie Plum books, but they're entertaining nonetheless. One thing I didn't care for though is that towards the end, a few of the characters ignored or overlooked a few important clues that were telling them Carl Lee had arrived in town. I found myself thinking, what'd y'all just take a stupid pill or something? LOL

Another enjoyable read. I do prefer Stephanie Plum, but this series is still great for a bit of light reading, particularly when your brain can't concentrate on too much!

Sending on to Herrgirl from a swap.

Another light and funny read from Janet Evanovitch - Maggie Farnsworth is the paediatrician in the small town of Beaumont South Carolina and her past is driving to meet her. It is in the form of her ex lover and father of her daughter the escaped killer and thief Carl Lee. She is given the protection of FBI agent Zack Madden who is even better than than her favourite better than sex chocolate ice cream. The story unfolds with a range of fun characters and with Janet's usual rye humour. Just what I needed at the moment.
