I have read quite a few Mercedes Lackey books and enjoyed them as light entertainment. This one's blurb says it's a fast paced fantasy laced with romance. What more do I want for a 11 hour train trip to Melbourne?
I'm looking forward to sharing this book and seeing where it get's to (if anywhere).

Found this one in Savers in Heatherton today and bought it for $2. It did make it to Melbourne, but was lost for 14 years. I wonder where it has been?
I have read this book years ago (don't remember much), and do like the author.

For mum who's a great rescuer of early registered BC books.
Thank you. I love early registered books. I may not read it but will hang on to it for a while before passing it on to another BC fanatic.
Nightingale, a gypsy Free Bard, and T'fyrr, a birdman, must discover why the High King is shirking his responsibilities as the Church grows hostile to the bards and all else outside its control. This is a book in the Free Bards world, and there are a number of other books that you could read in this series about the Free Bards. I don't feel that you need to read them in order, although it may be more interesting to do so. It references other books, but doesn't give too much away.

I dip into some fantasy now and again and find everyday truths inside the woven spells. This took a bit to get me going but I enjoyed it.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Release #280 for 2021 ...
Caught today in Surrey Hills.
#3 in the Bardic Voices series. I enjoyed the idea of the power of music to influence thoughts and emotions. I was not quite sure of what to make of the close connection between a human and an overgrown bird... However, the characters were well developed, so one could sympathize with them , whether human or not.
