caught from Herbwench's Cozy Box #2...

My first Jill Churchill cozy mystery. She is a very good writer and kept me loping along. I really like her characters and her general ability to present lively and interesting daily lives without bogging down in boring details. My only quibble is with the persistent grammatical mistake of using "couple" without "of" (as in, he had a couple answers....) This may not bother others, but when it occurs two dozen times in an otherwise fine writing style, it grated on me terrifically! I will still claim that the book was a fun read! The Santa who gets bumped off has to be one of the most disgusting human characters you'll ever read about; you actually are glad he was the victim! I will save this to return to the Cozy Mystery box on the next round!
