The blurb:

"Joey Perrone is a woman with a mission. She's just been pushed overboard from a cruise liner by Chaz, her scumbag husband, and survived to tell the tale. But rather than reporting him to the police, she decides to stay dead and - with a little help from her friends and a few of Chaz's enemies - instead of getting mad, she's going to get even."

This is all about revenge and I suspect that the author had a gread deal of fun writing it. It is about a pants-man and very ineffectial murderer and the way in which his victims, in particular his wife, exhorted their own brand of justice.

The book started off rather slowly but by the middle I was giggling out loud. I think that it went on a bit too long (476 pages) and slowed up a trifle by the end but it was a great read and I will look out for more books by Carl Hiaasen. According to the blurb, he has written ten other books.

My favourite characters are, without any doubt, Tool and Strom.

My favourite line ... [p.389] "Now can you please get off me? My hard-on's getting bent."

I'll see if anyone else wants to read this book before I wild release it.

Finished this in a couple of days- it was hilarious. I agree with pinkozcat, I think the author had a great time writing it. I do wonder if he was sampling some prohibited substances at times, though!! I think Tool and of course the lovely Strom would have to be my favorite characters too :)

I really enjoyed this book. I've read other books by Carl Hiaasen and he is always good for a laugh.
This book was filled with weird and crazy characters that you just have to love.

Thanks pinkozcat for sharing this great book.

I will PM amberC for an address, then send it on its way.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I was laughing all the way through. Chaz would have to be the most ineffectual murderer I have come across.

My favourite characters were Tool and Rolvaag.

This is the first Carl Hiaasen I have read, and now have another author to look for.

I will hold onto it for a few days, until I hear from pinkozcat about it's future movements.
