I am in the middle of the second story and I am feeling lost. I enjoyed the first story even though it was hard to get into at first. This second one starts out with the main character's thoughts,thoughts,and more thoughts and I have yet to connect with her. There is some action beginning now as she meets the hired man from the first story. I think I will stick it out and see where it goes.

Well I stuck with it and it was okay but I really skipped a lot of paragraphs of angst ridden thoughtfulness. I went to the third story and got into it but it also evolved into a lot of soul searching dialogue that I skipped over too. I was in the mood for a story not philosophy and I think this is a really deep book but it wasn't what I wanted to read at this time.
