I found this book extremely funny and moving. It's a very accurate depiction of the struggles that exist between homosexuality and a certain branch of the Christian faith. One of my five favourite novels.

I liked the book very well and most of all the way she managed to step out of her "family" in order to be true to herself. Discovering one's own sexuality isn't always an easy step, but in such conditions it relly becomes a challenge. I found very interesting to see here that what the church calls love is actually psychosis and it dares to suggest that what makes life difficult for homosexuals is not their perversity but other people's narrowmindness.
