White Ghost Girls

In 1960's Hong Kong two American girls and their mother live temporarily while their father is a journalist/photographer in Vietnam. It is told through the eyes of the younger daughter, perhaps 12, as she watches the people around her change in reaction to war, specifically her older sister who is starved for love and attention. Beautifully and heartbreakingly written.
