This was another 'Buy me for 99p' treat for myself at Waterstones in Covent Garden one lunchtime.

I had already read Fallen by the same author, about the fall from grace and banishment from eden of Adam and Eve. Having enjoyed his writing style I looked forward to The Flood and wasn't disappointed. David Maine tells the story of Noah and his family. And of course the ark. It's a story that most of us know already, but the enjoyment was in the detail.

I'll probably release this sometime into the wild. Or if anyone wants it, PM me.

Sent me as a RABACK from a lovely bookcrosser at the other end of the country xx

This was just the ticket yesterday as I hid in my bedroom trying to keep warm whilst the new night storage heaters come into commission with their vile smell as they burn off as bricks are heated for first time!!

So to hear of all the smells on the ark and being cooped up seemed somewhat appropriate :-)
This was a quick enjoyable read, one I will think about and chuckle about for some time. It is very witty and dry and I think I have yet to let the penny drop on some of the humour.

I plan to take it to my Truro bookgroup where we take in books we have enjoyed to share with each other and often pass on, or lend..I have yet to convert any of them to BC :-)
but will try again with this and will hunt out some bits to read to them.

I will now be looking for his other books
Thanks Soulbalm it was balm to the soul yesterday xx

Moving to reserved for now
