I won this book by default in a recent World Book Day competition! Suitable for ages 9 to 12, it's a story set in contemporary Venice of 2 German orphaned brothers hiding from a hated aunt and living with a children's gang, with lots of mysterious and some magical happenings. It's a bit like Roald Dahl but not quite in the same league, but enjoyable. Venice is a great setting.

I journalled this book some weeks ago when caroline kindly posted it to me, but it appears the journal Entry has disappeared, or never was registered. Never mind, I am reading this for a mini-challenge I have been set. Thanks very much to caroline for the RABCK. I'll send it back or pass it on depending on what I'm asked to do by my benefactor. Looking forward to it, I also have Dragon Rider by the same author on my TBR shelf.
