Why oh why did they make a movie out of this? I soooo wish they hadn't. The movie was awful, the actors they chose so totally wrong. Talk about a crime. This book is an AWESOME read- I cannot reccomend it highly enough. Try to forget the movie!!

My first catch! Found the book in my accommodation in Napier, under the TV with all the tourist information brochures...
Wasn't too sure abut this book and took a chapter or so to get into it but then loved it... I was right there with the main character, walking the hills and mountains of the southern states, making my way home...
