The book arrived today!
I was so happy to catch it on the relay, it's a book from my wishlist.
This is such a controversial book I will do a controlled release one way or another after I have read it.
I will reserve it for a bookbox when I'm done with it

I'm reading this book right now and there was a vanilla icecream-chocolate cookie disaster on pages 54-55. Sorry about that. I was eating an icecream while reading and my dog thought he wasn't getting enough icecream and did a surprise attack :) I managed to rescue most of the icecream off the book, but there still are stains. The book got some icecream, the dog got some icecream, the reader got some icecream.

I both liked and disliked the book.
It's extremely well written and has a lot of humour in it.
The story itself is absolutely ghastly. A grown man falls in love with 12 year-old Lolita,and does everything he can to be near her and posess her.
It is wrong wrong wrong wrong for adults to like children in this way!
Still the story is captivating.
And there is not one swear word or dirty word in the book, it's not a book of filth (I was afraid in the beginning it would be that).
And the book has reminded me to brush up my French!
