Tiddley bought in 3 books on this theme and as this topic is of particular interest to me lately, I think the Universe dropped them into my lap for a reason!

Absolutely fascinating and maddening!!
It's almost hard to believe, and I kept thinking of that other author (Khouri?) who was recently outed as a fraud, though this story is apparently all true.
Now I consider myself an open-minded and accepting person, but the attitudes and hypocrisy of the Saudi patriarchy is really just too much. It's just so difficult for a woman who has grown up in Western society to even fathom the life of a Saudi Arabian woman.
A lot of things have happened in the decade since this book was published - 9/11, Osama Bin Laden, House of Saud/House of Bush conspiracy theories, Gulf War Part II, change of Rulers etc - I wonder what Princess Sultana makes of these latest developments...?
