Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

An older and wiser soul recommended this book to me when I was going through a difficult time. I'm grateful for her recommendation and that I read it. Although the pages are few, the ideas contained within are many. Here are just a few:
You are in control of your life.
No one can hurt you unless you allow them to.
Clinging tightly to ideas, things, people—whatever—severely limits you from enjoying life.
You can do anything you set your mind to.
Everything is based on perspective (or illusion): what one may see as tradegy, another may see as empowering.
And on and on…
Excuse me while I go play my dusty guitar…like a master, of course!
(FYI, the author is appearing at Third Place Books near Seattle on 12/18/02.)
