Unhinged : A Home Repair is Homicide Mystery

A fairly unknown writer from Eastport Maine, one of my favorite places in the entire US. She combines the story of refurshing her old colonial house with local murder mysteries she gets involed in. Basic premise is that the herione Jake is a former NY finance expert who moves to Eastport after her divorce, buys an old house and becomes the local super sleuth. Funny, interesting and suspenful. I have her whole collection which I dearly love. Once you've read one your hooked.
I picked this one up at the Ventura meetup. I'm always looking for a new mystery writer, so I'm happy to be introduced to this one.
I really enjoyed this book. I'm always glad to be introduced to new authors, and this is an excellent example of why. The story and the characters are both well-written and fun to read about. I didn't read this one any faster than usual, but man did I have trouble putting it down when I had time to pick it up.
Lucinda has the other one in this series that steelknee released at the last meet-up, so I'll hold onto this one for her. If she enjoyed hers as much as I liked this one, she'll want to read another in the series.

Caught at the Meet Up. Looks fun!

Saw this sitting in the corner with the little sticker and thought whoo hoo it's my lucky day! Haven't been real active in bookcrossing lately but I'll catch a book when I see it and I've read this author before. Will read and release in southern Orange County to keep it moving.
