I'd never heard of this book or the author when I received it, so I put it in my TBR pile. It's an interesting read. The narrator is an eight year old boy living in Bombay in the early 1970's, telling vignettes about his life one year. Some of the chapters were more intersting than others. In a couple, we read entries from his journal, and for an eight year old he is amazingly literate. I was a little apalled at how obsessed he was with sex. I don't have sons...do boys really get all hot and bothered so young?
