This is a collection of short stories and a graphic novel, most written my Michael Moorcock (but not all) about Jerry Cornelius, aka The English Assassin aka an incarnation of the Eternal Champion. On the back it talks about the tales influencing the literary avant-garde.

Unfortunately, I am definitely not a reader of avant-garde literature (or at least not this example). I got frustrated after a few stories that even after reading the story I had no idea what was going on. For me it is okay for a short story to have mystery and twists, but all the characters seemed without purpose, doing nothing of particular signifance and having no apparent motive for what they did do.

Bizarre would describe this collection. I could not finish it. I hope it finds its way into the hands of someone who appreciates it.

Gave this book to my sister. She is willing to try anything.

Found hiding in the midst of the jumble sale at the Burnside community fun day held at St Tim's church. I've never really liked Michael Moorcock, but I couldn't resist buying a book with a bookcrossing label on the front!
