What a fantastic, terrifying, but believable story. From the very first chapter you are drawn straight into the horror of it all. Written (I think) in the 50s it hasn't dated at all. The familiar surroundings of London and the south coast made it all the more believable and scary. Definitely recommended.

I was very pleased to have found the book on the steps outside work, whilst on a fag break. I'm definately going to read it, especially after reading JemimaJ's recommendation. I can't wait to start releasing some books of my own. I love books and the idea of releasing books into the wild for someone to find is wonderful way to bring a bright spot to both my own and someone else's day.
