Thought provoking read. Look up 'Pegasus Bridge' by the same author though, it follows British troops through part of the same period of the war.

Found Band of Brothers, left in RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. Found it interesting to find a largely 'American' story by an American author in such a location (I am American). Wonderful book, even better than the excellent mini series. Tells of all sides of war, good and bad.

I "caught" Band of Brothers on a friend's coffee table. My husband read the book first. He loved it. We both thought it was enjoyable to read. Reading about WWII from the prespective of the men of Easy Company has been a profound experience. I was born 20 years after WWII and this book has made something detached and far away-- up close and personal. I will never forget it. Everyone should read this book. I'm traveling in the United States and plan to leave the book in the state of Iowa.
