Taken from the bookshelf at Beaufort to register. This book looks like a good read so I will add it to my Mt TBR. Registered for the Race to Three Million Challenge.
Picked up at a Bookcrossing meeting.
I must admit, I did pick this book up because of the Labrador on the front cover with the poorly placed paintbrush in its mouth. Saying that, I really did enjoy this book. It was a fun read, alternating past and present events before drawing to its conclusion.
This book follows the misguided adventures of a superficial cartoonist, who''s reading of social situations leaves something to be desired. His social fumblings are looked on by his aging Labrador, Elizabeth, my favourite character. As the book progresses he develops a realisation of some of the consequences of his actions but still manages to remain cocooned in his own world.
Overall an enjoyable and fun read.
