A friend of mine recently posted how much he was enjoying some Grisham, so when I found a bunch at the thrift store today, I thought it would make a good "welcome to the States" gift!

I was standing in line at Pearl Harbour, looking at the 300+ people ahead of me in the queue, and thanking my foresight in bringing along this book to read.
I'd only read a few words when the young lady in front said that she was reading the same book and we struck up a conversation. She was with a tour group and when I mentioned that I'd paid $2 for the ticket on Honolulu's excellent bus system and admission to the Arizona Memorial was free, she looked pretty sick.
This was a good, exciting, well-paced read. An interesting situation gets steadily more interesting. I enjoyed it very much, reading it in sundry queues and on my flights back home, finally finishing a few hours ago. Incidentally, a section of pages around 240 is printed upside down, making for some odd looks!
