I believe the best book in this series was the second, "Kingdom of Golden Dragon".

Forest of the Pygmies was too typical, no good ending and no strong story. Everytime Alex and Nadia called each other Eagle and Jaguare it looked so stupid to me and when they turned into those animals, it was just beyond stupid! Most of the times I was just begging them, please stop calling each other with animal names!

To show that I'm not that negative, I'm writing the 2 sentences that I liked from the book:

P. 86 - "Fighting bulls is easy. Serving Christ is a little more complex."
P. 210 - "They perceived that nothing exists in isolation: everything that happens, from a thought to hurricane, is cosmic in effect."
