thanks so much for passing this one (and all the others!) to me, grooble!! looking forward to reading it :)
i'm not sure what it was about this book that i didn't like... although i have the sneaky suspicion that i thought the author was trying to be clever (and i don't think i can define what that means; it's an all-pervading feeling, rather than something i can articulate). maybe i just didn't "get it"? but then, if i have to be part of some intellectual in-crowd to understand a book, i'm probably better off sticking with the ones that don't require membership...
why, you might ask, did i read it all the way through if i didn't like it? i guess i pay more attention to books grooble brings me, 'cause i (mostly) trust her opinion (no pressure there, groobs!) this one just wasn't for me.
**i've added this book to the lucky-dip satchel that's part of my 3rd anniversary rabck lottery, so it'll be heading out into the world soon**

posted off to crimson-tide (who won the lucky-dip satchel) a few days ago, but i''ve only just been able to journal it (having problems with computer gremlins. grrr)

Thanks again for your generosity cosminx. I don''t think that you''re the only one to think that he is trying to be "a bit clever" from what I can remember of the reviews I read a while back. This is a definite TBR candidate; if only to see which side of the fence I land on!
