The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell by Lilian Jackson Braun
The 27th “The Cat Who…” book in the series is short and sweet and covers the 150th birthday of the city of Pickax in Moose County (400 miles from everywhere). It is a fun story, but as the years go by the stories get shorter (187 pages) and quite a bit of text was repeated as filler. It’s nice to check in on the cats and their friends, and I imagine I’ll take advantage of the opportunities as long as I can. We’ll miss them when Ms. Braun quits writing.

Awwww thank you for this belated (due to *me* not sending my address, for the interest of future readers) birthday RABCK! I seem to have become even more obsessed with cats than I was as a girl now I'm studying away from them. It didn't seem to be a problem during my undergraduate studies but now I have gone cat mad!
I'm sure I will enjoy this when I get to it! Thank you again!!

I read this a little while ago, but enjoyed it just as much as the other Cat Who books.
I picked this up at the Nottingham Uncon. Going on Mount TBR.
Arrived in an exciting parcel of books from Lytteltonwitch. I think this is about the last of the "Cat Who" books I'm still to read.
Thanks MissMarkey!
Thanks MissMarkey!
I didn't really enjoy this as much as the earlier books. It was still fun, but as with all long-running series, there comes a point where you already know all the details about the characters and their town, so the author has to either start repeating herself or just leave the details out, and it's the little details that contributed so much to what made this series so readable.
