Journal Entry 1 by wingcrimson-tidewing from Balingup, Western Australia Australia on Thursday, March 16, 2006

Here are classic fables from around the world - traditional tales by Grimm and Aesop, stories from the Bible and Arabian Nights, from English history and folklore, the Arthurian legends, Greek mythology, Eastern European folk tales - retold for our time in words and pictures with Handelsman's own novel and brilliantly witty morals.

Each page is a cartoon strip which originally appeared in Punch magazine.

Delightfully and deliciously politically, theologically and mythologically incorrect.
I had quite a few good laughs. Obviously some are better than others and not a book to read straight through, but to dip in and of and savour.
