I have really enjoyed this book although it is outside my usual genre. It is very well written from the point of view a young boy whose brother is arrested for manslaughter. It follows the family - father and the two younger children as they search for their elder brother who escapes jail into the Badlands. The ending was not at all what I expected but very moving. Highly recommnded.
