Thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy, so was looking forward to this one. Much, much darker than the previous two, with fewer laughs. Still worth a read, though.

received in the mail today! thanks so much! i have read the first and then part of the second, but that was awhile ago. now that i have all three i will try to restart the trilogy and get all the way thru.

Making my way slowly thru this one. Without the other Gormenghast characters it is just not as interesting. A shame.
