I am not sure why I liked this one, but I loved it. It is a story about Charlotte who sees her husband in a park kissing another woman. She runs off and has help getting to Boston in the dead of winter. She goes to a hotel for women she thinks but has not idea of the goings on in this particular hotel. She finds her husbands aunt at this hotel and because she has a relapse from her sickness she is given her aunts room and stays in the hotel. She seems to grow up staying in this hotel and it is her journey in coming to grips with the betrayal that her husband put her through.

It is set in the late 1800's and during a huge snow storm, so that makes it even more interesting. I would not say this was a mystery, more like a good story about life.
