Interesting book, though the ending seems too soon.
Most of the book feels like a set-up to events to come, but then cuts off before you're halfway there.

Very enjoyable read and filled with lots and lots of historical details which made the time period described come to life very vividly.Having just read 'Memoirs of a Geisha' I am still hooked on Japanese/Chinese literature so I am glad I got to read this book.It has a far more historical feel to it than 'Geisha' which seemed more like a personal story. Thanks for sharing MeGeerts !
