Bought this copy because I had read it in a french translation years ago and wanted to read the original version.

But it's been several months now that it lays on my TBR shelf and I won't be getting into it soon.

I'm gonna release it and I'll get myself another copy when I'll be sure to read it.

To be continued...

Actually, it seems that quite a few people have this one on their wish lists.

So I wrote down a few names and just picked one at random.

The book is going to be sent to rooshill as a RABCK.

:D
Thank you!!
This was a wonderful surprise. I hope to get to read it soon - it's part of the challenge I've set for myself to read and release "banned" books.

Wow, this book was...bizarre. I liked it! but I've never read anything quite like its style. The blend of memoir, fiction, political, sci-fi, philosophy makes for a very interesting, sometimes a little confusing, read. I started to tell Ingrid about it this morning (she was showing me a German RD and I told her I was reading about Dresden - she loves that city) and she decided she'd like to read it, so it'll live with her for a couple of days.

Ingrid told me this morning, "I actually liked it," with a tone of surprise. :) She doesn't read sci-fi, or even any fiction, normally. She said it was very well-written and was certainly "a look at insanity."

I guess I could say a little about who Ingrid is :) She's my 80 year old friend that I work with at the US Forest Service. We often share and discuss books. She was born and raised in Germany, and was very excited when I was able to get a few books for her to read in German through BC. (She always gave them back for me to release.) and she has given me more bags of books than I can count over the years to read and release. A very cool lady!

Might be a classic to some but not to me. Couldn't get into it.
