Journal Entry 5 by Niksu from Helsinki, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Thursday, April 6, 2006
Everyone writes such good journal entrys but I have to say that I didn't like the book that much. It was easy to read and quick which I was pleased about but I think a bit too cheesy for my taste, at least in the beginning. Only interesting issue I wanted to find out was how Lia was related to everyone else and it kept me reading forward. I have Good in Bed waiting on my shelf but probably will take some time when getting to read that one.

Thanks for sharing allbookedup and many thanks for replacing the lost book! Sending to Hetku77 tomorrow or early next week, as I already have her address. Hope she'll like it more than I did.

**7.4: Mailed today.

10.4. I received the book today, thanks Niksu! I have a few bookrings before this plus a holiday trip and move coming up, so it might take a little while before I get into reading this. Sorry in advance!

27.6. I read the book during the roadtrip with a car and a caravan from Helsinki to Budapest and back via Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania-Poland-Slovakia. It was perfect, easy reading for a holiday trip like that. I've read Weiner's "Good in Bed" before, but I think I liked this one more. Though I'm not a mother myself, I could imagine becoming a mother something similar - hard, but rewarding at the same time. At least it didn't do any good for baby fever of almost 30-year-old single :). I thought the characters were very realistic and the book also covered difficult issues like death of a baby. I found only the ending a bit cheesy - lives of all characters turned out so happy and wonderful and all problems were solved magically in the end.

The book arrived today from Hetku77. All the way from Finland.I have read both Good in Bed and In Her Shoes, and liked the first one best. It will be interesting to see how this one stacks up.

I really enjoyed this book. It had characters who could have been your friends and neighbors, they were so real.It centered around four women whose lives were changed drastically when they had their first child. Sweet and touching, sad at times,I was sorry to see it end.I don't feel that there was the expected happy ending, but that rather there had been a lot of growth in the characters who were finally coming to terms with their problems.

What a fantastic comfort read! The characters each had very distinctive voices and complimented each other beautifully. Thank you again for including me in this bookray, Kayjay33! I finished the book on an airplane and barely noticed when the flight attendants came by with coffee, I was so caught up in the story. The woman sitting next to probably thought I was terribly standoffish!

I mailed this to Momx3lovesbooks today. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 16 by momx3lovesbooks on Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Caught it and adding it to my list! I'll get it read and passed along *hopefully* before the Christmas holiday.

Journal Entry 17 by momx3lovesbooks on Friday, December 22, 2006
I read and mailed this book while on Christmas vacation.

There's Becky, a plum, sexy chef, with anoverworked husband, and adorable baby girl..and the MIL from hell. There's Kelly, a 24/7 event planner who is charting her baby's every move on a spreadsheet, while hoping that her husband will pull his fighet out, and finally find a job. And then there's the beautiful Ayinde, who is happily married to Philadephia's most prominent basketball star, until the combination of new baby and infidelity threatens their marriage.

Another great book by Weiner! I've read everything she's written now and have enjoyed everyone of them!!

I really did not find very entertaining or interesting. Did not keep my interest. Maybe it was my mood at the time. since I received it at the end of its ray, I am putting it into the "All Women" bookbox.

Journal Entry 22 by LGinder on Tuesday, November 6, 2007
Taking this from the bookbox. Quite sure I've read this but I'll see.
