It's been a while since I read this, but I didn't love it. Freedom/individuality shouldn't be incompatible with being a wife/mother. I read this for English class in High School, so it has some underlining/notes.

I found the book on a little wall outside the Georgetown University, it caught my eyes, I picked it up and started reading it. I probably would have never picked that book in a library, but I ended up liking it a lot. It is very well written and has a lot of insight. It is a hundred and twenty years old story that travels through time with grace and strength. After finishing it, I left it in a Starbuck in Virginia
