Registered for the Race to 3 Million Challenge.

This is the second "true crime" book I read this year, and I have to say I was surprised by and liked them both. Of course, this one is nowhere near as grizzly or horrifying as In Cold Blood, but they are both equally compelling.

I remember when the movie of this one came out -- the previews made it all Hollywood and it seemed as if it was all about the transvestite and the voodoo. In reality after having read this book, those are both minor to the story and add character, but do not contain the whole story. It will be interesting to see how they made it into a movie, and I've added this to my Netflix queue.

This is one of the few books that has ever made me want to visit a place I haven't been to before. I really want to take a trip to Savannah after reading this!
