I picked this up in Hay for £1. It's a memoir of the writer's experiences of rehab where he was recovering from alcoholism. It has the same fantastic storytelling style and dry wit of the prequel 'running with scissors' (which i will register as soon as i go home) In short a great funny and bizarre book, as long as you're not easily offended!
The blurb says:
"You may not know it, but you've met Augusten Burroughs. You've seen him on the street, in bars, on the underground, at restaurants: a twenty-something guy, nice suit, works in advertising. Regular. Ordinary. But when the ordinary person had two drinks, Augusten had twelve; when the ordinary person went home at midnight, Augusten never went home at all..."
