Dick Turpin is such a colourful historical figure - so legend would have us believe.
This is a nice volume well written which debunks and applauds the various myths and legends that have sprung up around highwaymen and specifically Dick Turpin, who, if the truth really be told shouldn't be that memorable.
I enjoyed.

The only experience I have with Dick Turpin is the ITV series with Richard O'Sullivan (Man About the House, Robin's Nest.) I like a bit of history, especially when it comes to shattering myths, so this book was a must grab off the Queenstown unconvention table.
