John Crosbie of Newfoundland was a noticeable figure in Canadian politics with a quick wit and decided opinions. I believe that he retired after the Conservative and Reform parties amalgamated and then imploded. I'm interested in reading more about him. Thanks, maggiemuffet!

John Crosbie died last week. Rex Murphy wrote a wonderful tribute to this colourful character in the National Post. Brian Mulroney delivered a lovely eulogy at his funeral. Lots of press coverage. And then, I found this book about the whole Crosbie clan on the free book shelf at the Banbury Community Centre. Thought it might be an interesting read.
