"When two of his American employees were held hostage in Iran during the Islamic Revolution, H. Ross Perot and a select group of his employees took matters into their own hands."
Yes, THAT H. Ross Perot. In 1978, two of his computer company's top executives were taken hostage by Iranian authorities. Perot is a take-charge kind of guy, and when trying to free his men through diplomatic and political channels failed, he enlisted the help of the a U.S. Army legend: Colonel Arthur "Bull" Simons. Simons had led the 1970 raid on the Son Tay prison camp in North Vietnam, in an attempt to rescue American prisoners of war.
A fascinating look at a successful major American rescue effort at a time when Iran was in turmoil.
