I bought this book a few months ago. I spotted it on sale on a website and thought it looked like a fun read. I plan on reading it next!

This is a paperback book.

Synopsis from Amazon

Rose Feller is thirty years old, a high-powered attorney, with a secret passion for romance novels, an exercise regime she's going to start next week, and dreams of a man who will slide off her glasses, gaze into her eyes, and tell her that she's beautiful. Meet Rose's sister Maggie. Twenty-eight years old, drop-dead gorgeous and only occasionally employed, Maggie is a backing singer in a band called Whiskered Biscuit. She dreams of fame and fortune -- and of getting her dowdy big sister to stick to a skin-care regime. These two women with nothing in common but a childhood tragedy, shared DNA, and the same size feet, are about to learn that their family is different than they ever imagined, and that they're more alike than they'd ever believe. Funny and poignant, richly detailed and wrenchingly real, In Her Shoes will speak to anyone who's endured the bonds of sisterhood, and to everyone who's dreamed of trying something else on for size.

I really enjoyed this book. It was perfect reading during a very chaotic and exhausting week. The story was easy to get into and the characters were likeable. It is "chick~lit" but it has more substance to it than some of the chick~lit books out there. I'd quite like to rent the film of this book now.

I enjoyed this book - it is a nice easy read. I agree with Sunflowergirl that it is an example of the better sort of chick-lit that is on the market.
Would be a nice book to take on holiday....
Thanks for sharing Sunflowergirl.

Picked this up at the York BC Meet last night - chick lit so hopefully will be pleasantly distracting on the train or plane .. I'm heading to Sweden, and then the Netherlands both in May so it might well accompany me .. Maybe I should release it again while away too? ...

This is about sisters and love and friendship and shoes.

I enjoyed this. Wasn't sure at the beginning, but it really warmed up and in the end I thought, like the other readers, that it was above average for chick lit. The different strands to the story come together well and I like the shoe symbolism! I will look out for books by her again.

Was thinking about releasing this somewhere on holiday, but actually finished it at home, so will try and find a shoe themed release site!
