Adventure begins with a new friend, a journey to the Fraser Canyon during the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway, and a search for a magical amulet from ancient times. Got this from juicy-comrade (with a bunch of others), although I remember reading an excerpt in some anthology years ago.
Not too often I get to read a book that is set anywhere near where I live, even if it is a children's book. Pretty average, the bit that juicy-comrade posted just about says it all. Dunno what I'm going to do with it.
