This book is fun! This book is marvellous! This book is crazy! This book is unbelievable! This is one of the best books I've read this year (2006). This novel is a story developing in The Lower East Side of New York. The nyuyorican Author - of Puertorican descent - VEGA is a real storyteller. His characters a so full, so wonderful and colorful, you just can live with them. Even if it makes you often laugh out loud! I loved this book! I want to hear and read what other bookcrossers think about it. I'm sure: you either will love it or hate it... The story is full of twists and turns und really seemingly quite impossible events... Just read on! And improve your spanish slang...

Tho following bookcrossers are taking part in this Bookray:

I really enjoyed it. Truly original, very well written, full of surprises. The note at the end about the author's son is very moving.

Edit May 2nd : Sent to Nell-Lu

This just arrived - in a fabulous package along with another book (The Case of Doctor Sachs) a cool Warhol postcard and a bar of chocolate. Thanks loads, Trelk!

Thanks also, book-man-8, for sharing. The bad news is that I have two bookray books before this one - but the good news is that I read pretty quickly so should get onto this before the end of the week.

This didn't really work for me. Interesting? Yes. Ambitious? Yes. Innovative? Yes. But, I found it impossible to get into and a bit of a chore to read. Some of the ideas will stay with me, though, and I'm glad I read it. Thanks, book-man-8, for sharing a book I wouldn't otherwise have come across.

I'll go to the Post Office this afternoon and send this on to Mojorisin2.

It's here, thank you Mojorisin2. I have another bookring to read before I can start this one plus I've just started a new job and I have some work related material to get through but I'm really looking forward to this book and hope to be able to send it on by the end of July.

Sorry..I can't believe I've had this book since 24th June and still haven't read it. I will get the next person's address and send it on asap. I REALLY wanted to read this book but I've been overwhelmed lately with work and other stuff and wouldn't feel right holding on to it any longer. I hope others enjoy it. Thanks anyway for reccomending this novel book-man-8, I look forward to reading it some time in the future.

Just when you all thought this book was lost.... it turned up as a surprise arrival on Friday! And just last Friday I checked and wondered to see where this was at, totally forgetting that Rosella had emailed me for my address last year, and that this should be on its way!

So, here it is in Western Australia, safe and sound; it is next in line in my reading schedule. I’m hoping to get to it real soon, and I’m hoping to find it interesting as, from the back cover, it sounds as if it’s a bit outside my usual reading genre.

Cheers!
