Well, what do you expect? Every gothette with some respect for herself has read this. *Self satisfied smirk* Curiously enough, it is one of the very few books I could claim I preferred the movie (by Coppola). Dunno. The book seemed a bit dry in comparison... Plus the movie is more into the idea of eternal love, not the rest. Anyhow... WARNING: the book is in English. I thought some people would appreciate reading it in its original Language. Let's hope this will be the case indeed. I paln to release it in Caffeina. I will need some help for this though...

Firstly in Greek and then in English:

Κυριακή μεσημέρι πήγα στη συνάντηση των Αθηναίων Bookcrossers πιο νωρίς από τους άλλους για να πιάσω τραπέζι. Τελικά δεν χρειάστηκε, γιατί πιάσαμε... όλο το μαγαζί (χεχεχε η σερβιτόρα έφαγε πάλι φρίκη!). Ήρθε κόσμος και κοσμάκης: η Ελισώ, οι Μαρίες (η μία σε απόχρωση του ροζ και η άλλη σε απόχρωση του κόκκινου, η Σοφία με το τρακαρισμένο αμάξι, η αδελφή της Αλίνα, η Δάφνη χωρίς το γουρούνι στο σακί (αλήθεια πού ήταν;), ο Μάρκος, ο μηχανόβιος Γιώργος, ο "αόρατος" Θάνος, η Δέσποινα με έναν άσχετο φίλο της τον Νίκο, η Pink και Antigoni, ο Dust και η Μυρτώ, η Αρίστη και ο space Γιάννης, ο ιδιοκτήτης της Καφεΐνας Προκόπης που κάθισε παρέα μας οκλαδόν σαν τον Βούδα, η Μαριάννα χωρίς κοτσίδια και μαντίλι, εγώ κλπ κλπ.

Ρίξαμε γέλιο, φάγαμε κάτι σοκολατάκια, με όσα περίσσεψαν παίξαμε πόλεμο και δεκάδες βιβλία πλημμύρισαν τα τραπέζια. Ανάμεσα σε αυτά ήταν και o "Δράκουλας", που θέλω εδώ και καιρό να διαβάσω! Ελπίζω να το κάνω σύντομα...

Δεν έχω φωτογραφίες από τη συνάντηση του Μαρτίου, αλλά βάζω μια φωτογραφία από το ράφι της Καφεΐνας, της Επίσημης "Βιβλιοαπελευθερωτικής" Ζώνης μας (OBCZ). Να κάνουμε και λίγη διαφήμιση: Η Καφεΐνα βρίσκεται στο στενάκι της οδού Κιάφας, που ενώνει την Ακαδημίας με τη Ζωοδόχου Πηγής. Εκεί συναντιόμαστε την τελευταία Κυριακή κάθε μήνα.

IN ENGLISH:

It was Sunday afternoon; I went to the monthly Athenian BookCrossers' Meetup half an hour earlier, to make sure that we would have enough seats available. No need though, we "conquered" the whole cafe! Many people came this time: Elisso, the two Marias (one dressed in pink the other in red!), Sophia, with her wrecked car, her sister Aleena, Daphne, without the "pig in the sack" (I wonder where it was), Markos, George with his motorbike, "invisible" Thanos, Despina with her friend Nikos, Pink, Antigoni, Dust and Myrto, Aristi and space-Yiannis, Cafeina's owner Prokopis who sat amongst us with his legs crossed like Budha, Marianna without her pigtails and her headscarf, me, etc etc.

Had loads of laugh, ate many small chocolates, started a chocolate war afterwards. Dozens of books flooded the tables. One of them was "Dracula" which I always wanted to read. I hope I do it soon...

I didn't take any pictures of March's meetup, so I post here a picture of the bookshelf of our Official Bookcrossing Zone (OBCZ). Time for some advertisement: "Cafeina" is located in Kiafas Street, a small alley downtown Athens which joins Zoodochou Pigis Steet with Akadimias Road. We meet there in every month's last Sunday afternoon...

Didn't have enough time to read it. It would have to stay a looooong time on my bookshelf so, instead, I am sending it off to a journey for the The Well-Travelled Wild Release Challenge

Next stop, West Virginia, USA!!! Hope you have fun genielady...

Dracula arrived safely in WV. Thank you for the sun (we've been having 95 degree days here) and the beautiful picture. I'll try to read this quickly and release it in Pennsylvania (sorry not Transylvania) on our trip next week.
