The second in Robinson's Mars trilogy. My husband, a fan of hard Sci Fi, considers these very well worth reading.

I'm reading Red Mars (book 1 in the series) right now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Really looking forward to book 2! I was particularly eager to read these, as I will probably be going to see Kim Stanley Robinson speak at the Jack Williamson Lectureship next month.
