This is a great collection of short stories. Each story deals with an Indian family who feels out of place in their new homeland of USA.
I read The Namesake first. This is a great author and I will add her to my favorite all time authors. Her writing is so accurate and heartfelt.

Sending to Sorgin as part of the Lifetime Release Challenge. Plus.. she is really sweet and sent me a Christmas card as part of the Christmas Card Exchange program (2005).
Got it!!! It was waiting at my parents', and I have already started reading it -- couldn't resist :-D
Thanks so much Karen, it was really nice of you to send me the book, and it came with *LOTS* of surprises (indian currency, photos, a Texas postcard...). It made my weekend!!!

Fantastic stories; I liked some more than others, of course, but enjoyed them all.
Again, thanks Karen for giving me the change to learn a bit more about India :D
I'm offering it now in the Spanish Language Bookbox, as I think it's a nice way for the book to keep travelling.
