An OK story, about how we are defined by other people and our actions, what happens if this isn't the true definition of ourselves and those 'what if' moments.

Really enjoyed this very grown-up and reflective book. Rebecca goes through a period of dissatisfaction with her large and grouchy family and revisits her past before coming to a realisation of who she really is and what her life means. Beautifully written and I will be seeking out more Anne Tyler books (nominated 'greatest living novelist writing in english' by Nick Hornby and Roddy Doyle)
