This is the story of the Weber sisters, four women who inspired Mozart, one of which he married. I enjoyed the look at Mozart and appreciated the historical research the author undoubtedly did. However, I felt somewhat removed from the characters. I felt like I was constantly "catching up" with them, being told about something interesting they'd done or said instead of being shown these scenes. It seemed to me that the author picked some duller scenes to actually show but rushed through others, only mentioning them almost in passing. At the same time, though, and to the author's credit, the book reads in many ways like classic literature.
