Synopsis
An attempt to portray the horror of certain men's brutal sexual domination of women, this novel by the German author of "The Piano Teacher" tells the story of Gerti, a woman who turns in revulsion from her husband to a younger man, only to discover that he too wishes to treat her unkindly.

I gave the book a try, I stoped reading it and then I gave it a second try. I think that I like the story, but I had big difficulties to get into the language and language use. For now I will give up and send this to another reader, maybe I will someday pick up a Swedish translation of the book and give the book a third try.

thanks for sending! i started reading the pianist months ago but i didn't finish it because the writing didn't appeal to me. now i want to give it a try with this one. let´s see if this time i can dive into her language twists.
