This book was very good! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, given Anne's tiresome ramblings throughout the book. Actually, they weren't as annoying as I thought they would be, and at about the time I grew tired of reading them, Anne grew up to become less talkative and more thoughtful. I really warmed up to Anne's character after she lied about the missing brooch. That really amused me more than any other of her "adventures" throughout the novel.
Some parts of the book were sickenenly sweet, however it was hard not to like it as a whole. I am now prepared to read the rest of the series. :)
