The Little Prince
1 journaler for this copy...
Picked this one up at last night's meetup at St. Elmo's Coffee Pub in Alexandria, VA. The guy who brought it said I could register it. I've known many people who are huge fans of this book, so I figure I should read it too.
Check off another on the list of classic children tales I did not read until adulthood. And another that probably would have been far more compelling had I first read it as a child. It's a story of a man stranded in the desert and the strange little boy he meets from an asteroid with three volcanoes and a flower. Not much happens except in the metaphorical sense. Well, except crying. There is a lot of crying in this book. Oh well, it only took me about an hour to read. Hopefully the next person to find it will be closer to its target audience.
This book is part of my Roadtrip Release, 21-24 April 2006. I am driving from Virginia to Illinois and back, dropping books along the way. I will post updated release information when I get home.
RELEASE NOTES:
Left this behind a fish on one of the benches in the Sunken Garden.
What you have in your hands is an honest-to-goodness gift, no strings attached. You may keep it forever and ever, pass it on to a friend, or release it in the wild like I did. I know it may seem a little odd to find this lying around--it's my way of touching the lives of others in a positive way, with the hope that it made your day. :)
If you are new to BookCrossing and find this book and this site, welcome! Enjoy the site, the book and hopefully the BookCrossing community. I hope you'll join BookCrossing (doesn't cost anything to join!) and if you do, please consider using any previous reader of this book, or me, melydia, as the member who referred you. Or you may remain anonymous!
If you are an old hand at BookCrossing, thanks for picking up the book! Either way, I hope you'll journal so all the previous and future readers can track this book's journey. Thanks, and happy Crossing! :)
