Bought from a charity shop for 79p! I loved Birdman so was really pleased to get this book by the same author.

Grisly and gruesome. I found the graphic descriptions in this one a little bit too much at times, I think because it involved children. It is another fantastic serial killer book from Mo Hayder, and I did enjoy it despite the grisly bits.

I didn't like the way in which Mo Hayder ended a section with a real cliffhanger and then picked up somewhere else and didn't go back to finish off the cliffhanger bit so you were left wondering things. This annoyed me a bit, and although the bit at the end with the notes written by the murderer did help to explain some, it would have been more helpful to have been written into the story a bit more.

I got the impression that this book was written with a view to becoming a film, which also annoyed me slightly, hence the lower rating. However, this was a great book and I would recommend it for anyone who has read and enjoyed Birdman, or who likes a serial killer story!
