Synopsis:
1. A Mind to Murder:
In the basement of the Steen Clinic the Admin Officer has been discovered dead, brutally muurdered. Despite her efficiency and rigid morality, she has been unpopular among the staff and many have reason to dislike her. But which of them was desperate enough to pierce her heart with a chisel?
2. A Taste For Death:
When two dead bodies are found in the gloomy vestry of St Matthew's Church, Dalgliesh is called in to invesigate. In trying to discover the facts about the victims-one a tramp, the other Sir Paul Berowne - Dalgliesh and his female assistant are pluged into one of the most convoluted and shocking cases of their career.
3. Devices and Desires:
After the publication of his latest book of poetry Commander Adam Dalglish has escaped from the hubbub of London to a remote Norfolk headland under the shadow of Larksoken nuclear power station. But he cannot so easily escape from murder. A psychotic strangler of young women is at large and getting nearer to Larksoken with every killing.
