Translated by Max Hayward and Ronald Hingley.

I'd rather Solzhenitsyn as a Finnish translation. This book is therefore available for bookcrossing purposes.

I've been wanting to read this for a long time and even though I would prefer Finnish translation, this was free and available...

Well, am I perceptive again... I was just going through some books and realized that I already have this book in my shelf in Russian. And I would rather read the original version. So I will release this one at some point.

I don't remember how this book ended in my bookshelf. Maybe I took it from Kamppi and somebody - not me! - mislaid it before I had time to journal it. Well, the English version was good enough for me. A very effective book. I'm still freezing whenever I think about it. Hrrr!!
Now I'll take the book to Suomenlinna. It is a place where many a man has been freezing during the olden times. Maybe not anymore, I hope.

This book is my Book #43 for Guinaveve's Challenge Keep Them Moving 2008

Picked this up from the meeting book table. I already have one Solzhenitsyn as a Finnish translation, but this book has the advantage that it's much shorter, so I think I'll start with this one before tackling the other one.
